So, lots going on in the life of me right now. We just joined a gym. I was a little unsure of this decision at first. Would the boy have fun? Would I have fun? Would the husband enjoy it? Would I go enough to get my money's worth? Would skinny women in thongs make fun of me when my back was turned? Lots of "woulds". Well so far, the boy loves going, they have a kid's club with lots of room to run, lots of toys and a giant "habitrail". Their habitrail is about 10 times the size of chuck e. cheeses's, and it features 4 ball pits, and air bouncer and lots of slides. The best part is that it's big enough for adults to get into also.
The husband has been going every morning before work. He says it's a great way to start his day. He gets up, puts on his gym clothes and goes, he takes his shower at the gym and gets ready for work there.
And me? I'm actually enjoying it. I've never willingly exercised in my life and this is pretty cool. I have more energy, and I feel great. I've been there just about every day since we joined, and I've even lost a couple of pounds. I've tried 2 classes so far, a jazzercise class and a spinning class. And much to my dismay, the spinning class was not about how to make yarn.
The jazzercise class kicked my butt, but it felt good.
You know what the best thing is? So far, I haven't seen one thong clad woman. In fact, there are usually a few there who look like me.
So, here's to a healthier me!
